I have a home for my furniture!!!

I am so excited to be moving out of my garage to a respectable business -- Robin's Egg, in Milford, NH.  It will be so nice to have a little corner of the universe where you can come and check out my latest creations.  Yahoo!  Bye, bye Craigslist.  I won't miss you.  :(

Robin's Egg is over 9,000 square feet and is "an eclectic melting pot of vintage, rustic, primitive, shabby chic, country, farmhouse, french, artistic, travel inspired and uniquely infused designs to help you create the perfect combination in your own home!".  I plan on moving in next week, but thought I would give you a little tour of the new home for The Reclaimed Life.

Have I ever mentioned that I love to recycle?  It definitely drives my husband nuts, as he thinks I over-do it.  I mean, I don't put the ziploc bags in the dishwasher?!? (I clean them by hand.)  And I will find uses for pickle jars, store my spools of ribbon on my plate holder, and rarely forget re-useable grocery bags. Super Simple Strawberry Jam

Summer = strawberry picking.  More strawberries than you can eat.  What to do with all these strawberries?  Why, easy, peasy, strawberry jam! Seriously.  3 ingredients.  So easy. You'll need: 2 lbs. of strawberries, hulled 3 1/2 cups of white sugar 1/4 cup lemon juice After cleaning and hulling your strawberries, crush them until you have about 4 cups. Yummy goodness. In a heavy saucepan, over low heat, mix the strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar until sugar is dissolved.   Increase heat to high, and bring mixture to a full rolling boil.  Boil, stirring often, until the mixture reaches 220 degrees F. (If I remember correctly, it took about 20 minutes.) If you don't have a thermometer, no worries.  I use this neat trick to find out if the jam is ready to be canned:  Freeze a plate.  Add a little jam to the plate.  Put it back in the freezer for one minute.  Take it out of the freezer and run your finger through the jam.  I...
